Hometown Hero Spotlight: Kimberly Jones

Each year Blue Hills Bank asks members of the community to nominate local individuals and organizations that have had major impacts on their communities. The top 12 heroes are selected by a committee and featured in the following year’s Hometown Hero Calendar.

June Hometown Hero Kimberly Jones

June 2017 Hometown Hero

Kimberly Jones is known as Ms. Jones to her biggest fans. And although her fans may be less than four-feet tall, they are mighty! As a kindergarten teacher in the Quincy Public Schools, Kim teaches by example. Kim has made it her life’s work to care for her students and their families; whether she stays late to tutor a child, collects books and clothes for families in need, or walks to raise money for a recently hospitalized student, she is always there with a smile and an open heart. Kim brings her joy and passion for life and learning to every child who has the privilege to call her Ms. Jones.

Each Hometown Hero is awarded $1,000 toward a charity of their choice. Kim is sending her $1,000 donation from the Blue Hills Bank Foundation to Merrymount Elementary School.

Thank you, Kim, for your love and commitment to helping children in the community.
