Hometown Hero Spotlight: Chrissy Joubert

Each year Blue Hills Bank asks members of the community to nominate local individuals and organizations that have had major impacts on their communities. The top 12 heroes are selected by a committee and featured in the following year’s Hometown Hero Calendar.

February 2018 Hometown Hero

Chrissy Joubert (pictured third from the left) recognizes that actions speak louder than words, which is why she founded and created Project Do Something. Project Do Something is an initiative that helps those experiencing homelessness in Boston. Project Do Something provides basic survival items, such as food and clothing, to individuals living on the streets. Chrissy and her husband walk the streets of Boston in all types of weather handing out food, drinks, donated clothes and gift cards to local take-out spots. Far more than delivering goods, Chrissy delivers emotional support and encouragement. Chrissy has learned about the different people she serves and has discovered how special each and every human being is.

Each Hometown Hero is awarded $1,000 toward a charity of their choice. Chrissy is sending her $1,000 donation from the Blue Hills Bank Foundation to the Project Do Something.

Thank you, Chrissy, for your selfless dedication and for realizing that actions really do speak louder than words.
