Hyde Park, MA – June 20, 2018
Rachel Chisholm, Blue Hills Bank Vice President/Area Manager, has been selected by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women (MCSW) as one of the Commonwealth’s Unsung Heroines of 2018.
The MCSW‘s Annual Unsung Heroine honors go to women who are selected for their contributions to their community and the Commonwealth. “Unsung Heroines are women who don’t always make the news, but truly make the difference in their communities, businesses, or volunteer endeavors,” states the MCSW. Chisholm has been selected because she is “a woman who, without fanfare or recognition, uses her time, talent, spirit, and enthusiasm to enrich the lives of others.”
“Rachel has become one of Hyde Park‘s true heroes,” comments Massachusetts State Representative Angelo Scaccia, who nominated Chisholm for this prestigious award. “Rachel’s commitment and dedication to the Hyde Park Community is legendary.”
A Stoughton resident, Chisholm spends the majority of her time in Hyde Park at Blue Hills Bank’s main office on River Street as the branch and area manager. Outside of her work for the bank, Chisolm serves as Treasurer for both the Hyde Park Board of Trade and Hyde Park Main Streets, where she also serves on the Executive Committee.
“Rachel is a true leader at the bank and in the community,” comments Bill Parent, Blue Hills Bank’s president and CEO. “She uses her leadership skills and passion for community banking in her volunteer work and we are thrilled she is being recognized in this manner.”
The MCSW honored and celebrated the Unsung Heroines from across the Commonwealth at the 2018 Unsung Heroines Ceremony in the Great Hall on Wednesday, June 20th at the Massachusetts State House.
